Encourage Road Use

Sure it's been mentioned before, but considering the possible size of next map, routes of travel to concentrate player movement would be nice.

80% stamina loss reduction when running on roads.

i would personally like to remove the teleport to rob option.
It was added to combat people trapping people and the like, and while its still 'possible' to trap someone likely by building a excess of houses/mines/cellars, its not exactly practical or easy... and that problem will be delt with in time... and even if worse comes to worse you can kill your own hearth fire and "gain back" the ability to spawn at the rob like you used to.
However the ability to spawn at the rob makes all trade routes academic as pepople can just teleport to the rob to trade.... Thus we no longer have caravans traveling between towns to trade [there totally were, even if only for a brief time]

Yeah, that's a good idea too. Or just allow one port to RoB every in game day.

>.< way better to only allow spawning at the ROB if your hearth fire is destroyed.. they take awhile to destroy and its inconvient. Could always throw in a punishment like if your hearthfire is dsetroyed you lose 10HHP or something.

Remember how devs said you'll leave a bag with your inventory when you log out? Well, if that was the case, you could only retrieve the bag by logging in where you last logged out. So, item teleportation will be impossible, but it'll still be possible to meet at RoB to swear in a new town member and stuff like that. Of course, it'd still be possible to teleport equipped items, but most trade goods can't be equipped.

link? im fairly certain that was a player suggestion, not a dev...

iirc jorb favored the hearthfire inventory to fix the problem of alt storage, but dont remember hearing anything else related

You know, at first I wasn't sure... but come to think of it the RoB thing was something of a stop-gap measure. I'm not saying that I don't take advantage of the RoB-port for trade, but I'm OK with loosing that ability.

However, there must be a way to safely move items on long trips. As it stands, if you take a cart off your property, it's free game for anyone to steal without leaving a scent. And if you can't get to your destination in one session, then all your trade goods are pretty much forfeit because you've got no way to protect them while you log off.
Surprise.

Yeah but with this game there's no guarantee that guards will always be present, unless it was like guard dogs.
