Curiosities with inks?

Postby iflamberg » Mon Mar 28, 2011 10:42 am

Inks don't have much use this times. Most people use advanced clients or use global map which is good enough to guide. How about curiosities with inks? Paintings or books. Quality of paintings should be capped with psyche and charisma. Charisma is hardly used enywhere, it need more necessity.

like using parchments and ink to create a sudyable painting, the more dex you have the better quality the painting the more lp you have

or a wax tablet that you can draw on using ink and a pen, much like egypt hyroglyphics tablets

or a boulder or runesone that can be painted on or crafted with to create a murial

Hmmm. Interesting. I'd suggest being able to "write." Your character, when sitting down at a table, would have the ability to create "stories" and "poems," which are curiosities created with ink, parchment, a quill, and a dream.

you should be able to write down a recipe on parchment for someone else to study so they can learn something they can't discover themself

Literature involves lot of different technologies. Papermaking and so. Paintings ivolves only parchment and inks, so it's easier to implement.

Detail when you examine the paint/picture/drawing would be cool.

A Q 10 drawing would be "A stick figure scrawling of someone being beaten to death by a man with a garbage can on his head (Or is it a large brown smudge?)"

A Q 70 drawing would be "The dryad skips merrily through the broad leaf forest, a smile on her face, as a bear cloak clad man and a shining steel armored warrior do battle"
