We can delete posts, but not threads. Is this a limitation of phpBB?

Person creates a thread.

Other people reply in said thread.

Person dislikes what they said, so person deletes.



Way too easily abused. Thread locking, however, is fine.

Laremere you didn't put much thought into this. You can normally only delete things with no replies.

I believe J&L are using an older, gutted version of phbb with replaced authentication... It's unlikely they're going to spend much time upgrading/modifying it. Big effort and time sink for little gain.

Maybe just try to slow down and think a few times before creating a thread to start with

there really should be someone that moves/merges/deletes threads. some kind of moderator. but no content moderation (probation/bans/whatever for rudeness or whatever).
