LP, foraging and poor cone cows.

It does not make any sence at all that some curios are used by everyone and others are just worthless sprites(due to the low LP/huge time amount needed/mental weight). What`s the point of having diversity then?
The idea is pretty simple: tie together LP and time(so, the LP is found by (amount of hours)x(LP-per-hour) where (LP-per-hour) is the same for every curio), OR tie together LP and weight, or time and weight...or all the three. This would lead to the all curios being worthy.

its the balance, you cant have somthing amazing without something useless otherwise everything would all just be.. the same

Sir, good half of the curios are just fillers for the table. Drop in the sea of LP. Don`t you think that has to be fixed?
And, about curios that are meant to be top-level - it`s easy to adjust their time/weight to keep them "elite" as well as adjust "newb" ones.

More balancing will be required, of course. But I disagree about 'worthless' curiousities; some of them may have heavy metal weight, for example, but become completely affordable when you have enough intelligence. Perhaps some form of synergy should be used, though, to encourage more diversity(use all members of the ant family in your curiousity at the same time and gain a bonus!).

Something like this would make sense.
Only important thing is that it dosn't apply to sets which could be constructed by eg. simply having a working mine.

I'd like the synergy.

But at the on the OP's comments. I don't like your ideas but I wish that they would just not have Cat Gold and Fossil and Crystal. Ones that have pitiful LP/Hour. Though Cat Gold was an awesome troll.

Well, if there will be no avoided curios - like ratted talisman, for example - then it does not matter how it`ll be done.

FYI Cone Cows are like in the top 5 curios regarding LP/hour/attention. I guess your thread title is implying they are bad.

This lack of understanding how the mechanics work and encourage diversity are basically rendering your argument useless. Of course there is some balancing to be done, but my curiosities change quite a bit depending on what playing time I have available.
I didn't take a longer break yet, but when I take this into consideration too and also raising alts, then I am using a very wide spectrum of curiosities. Curios that are easy to craft like rattle-tattle of course should be next to useless or it would get too easy. They are kind of a desperation filler. The high tier curiosities you always want to have are very rare to come by. So this is balancing with the fact that they are just too good not to be used (exception being glimmermoss, which everyone seems to have cupboards full of).

Once I got two spiders webs from two nettles that were literally 5 steps away from me. And as burg stated, cone cows are the beast, your suppost to use the ones that take longer and give more LP while your logged off. The lower level ones are meant for the newbs, and some of them are pretty decent. The ammount of curios is so there isnt for example 3 curios, 2 of them suck, and people only use the other one.

This. There's always an OP class in class based games.
Always an OP gun in shooters.
Always an OP worker at your job.

It's part of the experience.
