Ok, before you shout out about how this idea sucks without even reading the post at all, I just want to say to all you trolls out there that if you troll this post then I will personally find you IRL and kill you in your sleep.
That being said, constructive critisizm is appreciated.
Now, for the idea: I propose the ability to sacrifice a human being at a special alter. The skill to sacrifice a human (Something like satanic ritualism, The Greatest Offering, etc.) would be as expensive, if not more, then Murder. In addition, the alter would be constructed out of rare materials, maybe gold, bear teeth, or troll bones.
The person being sacrificed would be a willing sacrifice only. You can't just kidnap someone and sacrifice them to the gods, that's just mean. In order to prevent abuse of this system (creating and sacrificing alts), the player being sacrificed must have some kind of requirements. These are something like:
-full tradition
-50 numen points
-20+ on every skill
40+ on every FEP skill (I forget what the name for these states are
Thus, human sacrifice would be very, very difficult to do.
Now, why would you even consider being sacrificed, or sacrificing? what does it give?
My idea:
Being sacrificed, obviously, kills the player. When he/she reincarnates, I propose some kind of special item reward, like a druid cape or the ability to change your hair like you could way back when. This would be the gift from the ancestors and the gods.
Now, the sacrificer would also gain a reward. This would be, maybe, 200 numen points or something. Possibly a new combat skill, like "wrath of Brodgar" or something.
Upon sacrifice, the sacrificial alter would be destroyed (the alter was part of the sacrifice, with its gold and whatnot).
In conclusion, it would provide an actual reason NOT to have full change, promote reincarnation and death, and provide exclusive items and perks that would be too powerful to have otherwise.
Please comment! any and all non-trolling comments are appreciated!
