In game Village bulletin board

Postby Bodolf » Mon Apr 25, 2011 2:23 am

Unsure if this has been posted, but would be nice to have a town bulletin board.

some small details on my thoughts for this: would be made out of board/sticks/ and glue at least- you'd use the board to 'pin' parchment paper to, (and maybe there could be a graphic for each added parchment piece.) and have 2 sections. First section parchment could only be added/removed/possibly edited, by LS or chief- second section could be used by all villagers.

I realize there's lots of ways to do something similar out of game, but would be a cool and immersive way to leave messages for offline players/make to-do lists/post town rules/etc. imo. Thoughts?

Has been recommended.

However, there's parchment in game, keep
it in a public location and BOOM

Bulletin board.

Well, main point was to have something visible, and readable by all- with a section only LS and Chieftains could use/edit. (could put one outside walls for passerby's to read for instance, without them being able to steal/replace the parchments.) :D

Added brainstorm- a drying rack graphic would work turned sideways (so board facing south) with a basic wood graphic in the middle, and hopefully every added parchment could show up on the wooden background.

Use search. Been suggested even with better description than you have.

Certainly, in taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy; but in passing it over, he is superior; for it is a prince’s part to pardon. - A wise friend.
