A bigger container than buckets

Postby MagicManICT » Sat Apr 30, 2011 8:32 pm

This is what I posted over in "How Do I?"

MagicManICT wrote:We need a bigger container than 'bucket' like a 'cask' that's 4x4 and holds 40L. Heck, just make it 30L. It'll go in your inventory and can even sit on the ground without disappearing. Or, for convenience, turn the wine rack into something that would hold the casks (it would hold 2 or 4 casks) and you could dispense directly from that. In fact, you could store wine in it like a barrel and it wouldn't turn to vinegar (or take 4x longer than a wine barrel).

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything like this, however, it could have been suggested before. My search fu sucks. I think it'd be a good solution for storing wine, beer, and water in something easily dispensable from.

i dont think so that anyone would carry 30-40kg thing in inventory. maybe liftable and still can put it to wine barrel but its a bit stupid that winebarrel is "sealed" but then there could be barrel (container) can contain any stuff

The point isn't to carry it all over the place. The point is to replace carrying half a dozen buckets around and a smarter way to store wine. The point is to possibly save time at the well. (Then again, a well is only made with a bucket. Maybe a cask would only get 10L at a time, which would negate that point. <shrug> Or, as another option, you'd pull enough water at a time with a cask that you'd risk lowering water Q.)

Think before you post, please. Barrels are a container that can hold any liquid as it is: water, milk, booze, vinegar. (Haven't tried honey, but don't see why not... never have more than a bucket of the stuff, anyway.) People DO carry 30-40kg things in their inventory: 4x buckets. (You can actually get 12 with two traveler's sacks.) A pumpkin is 4x4, which is why I chose that size. I didn't want to make it any bigger than the default inventory size.

You can carry whole logs (in cut/chopped form) in inventory with backpack.

also thats a shitty argument, a bigger container for filling tanning tubs etc would be nice, since tanning is the most soul draining activity in the h&h universe.

Tea in barrels and require it to be reheated, tea staying hot forever is stopid.

I'm against bigger buckets.
Filling tanning tubs sounds fun though.

Rather than trying to find a better way to store wine you should just use beer. It can be stored in a barrel for placing wherever you want, like in a mine (str bonus+hunger+travel ftw) and at your xroads, and just use the bucket of wine for when you are traveling around.

To fix the need for a bucket when using tanning tubs, why not let people pick up a tub then fill it from the well, as i recall we did have to use a bucket when constructing the well, so there shouldn't be a need to have another bucket to get water from it if you are going from well to tub/barrel etc.

Winerack should be to age wine, and store aged wine.

"Normal" is only a difficulty level in video games - Aso11
Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...
"And no im not native to english, I was born in the usa." - A very bad troll.
