Today I thought of something that would be really cool, a Mailing service. Add mailboxes to the game that allows you to send and trade things with friends. Maybe a postman skill that allows you to make mailboxes and mailbags, not sure what else could possibly be added to such a thing, but I figured I would throw it out there to be discussed.

Chest + Parchments = Mailbox.

That makes a lot of sense, but I meant a long range Mail service so that someone who lives at the top of the map but knows someone at the bottom can send them items. And as for the mailbox, that's just because it would make sense to have a mailbox for mail. Maybe instead of an actual mailman you could have carrier pigeons(or chickens).

The idea with the carrier birds is kinda interesting, maybe you could shoot them down and steal the message? =p

Just add the ability for offline messages to kin. You can already chat with them when they're online and 5 supergrids away. Fuck realism.

If this was implemented it would take all the coolness out of trading.

Everyone would just send mails to eachother from the safety of their houses.

Mail pigeons.. hmm, pretty nice.

Should work like IRL - always returning home, so you'll need to take em away first, and then release, carrying 1x1 item to the place they are from.
As a ralley point i'd surrest the place they were born(i mean hatched xd). And the ql should affect their speed. the higher is the speed - the harder it is to intercept em(interceplable like other flying stuff in th game), and the longer distance they'll fly(i think they should die after some time in flight, so a higher speed automatically extends the flight distance).

that wouldnt hinder our current trade system much.

I'd like to see those ingame.
