Ideas for new tools

Hi all,

Here are my few ideas about tools that could be used :)

- wooden hammer - when used decrease time of building things (ex. -3% of time)
- iron hammer - like above but more bonus (ex. -6%)
- needle - improve quality of sewing (ex. +10 quality)
- nails - when used while constructing decrease chance of destruction, would be stockpiled around 100 per 1x1 space (stored in nail bag -3x3 space)
- sickle - lesser version of scythe
- clamps - used with anvil improve quality (ex. +10 quality)
- wooden roller - when used increase quality of baked goods (+10 quality)
- oil lamp - ultimate light source produce from raw glass and some metal nugget - fueld with sunflower oil

Tool box - container with 4x4 space used for tools - it could be equiped and you can used all tools without swaping them into hands,
fishing box - like above but for fishing gear

hammer - ok
needle as I know already exists some jewelry to increase sewing. No.
nails - yes but they should be required to make stuff. But as I look recipes some items already use metal bars to build so no need for those probably.
sickle - yes yes yes yes plx. I want traveller sack to use while farming.
clams - I tihnk there is also one ring to increase smithing.
wooden roller - yes probably would be nice
oil lamp - you need sunflower oil and you don't have sunflowers in game... Would be nice to have sunflowers and oil (same as butter) that could also be used in cooking.

tool-box - hm... probably as tool belt but that should also be like container to put tools in. That needs thinking.
fishbox - same as toolbox

See, here might be some interesting ideas but by squeezing them all into one thread you kinda rob yourself of the opportunity to get a viable discussion on the game mechanics and the pros and cons of your ideas. People will either do what Butko did and give you short responses on all of your ideas, or they will pick one and elaborate further on it splitting the thread into several discussions.

Even though you are only suggesting tools here this is becoming a grab-bag thread which we are trying to avoid for the afore mentioned reasons. Next time pick one tool and elaborate on it more. Pick the wooden hammer and explain to us why this particular effect is what you thought about, if it maybe should be stronger or weaker, what possible up or downsides are.

Gonna leave this open, because it has a few things in it that haven't really been suggested before like nails or needles.

Do we really need an item that boost sewing ? i understand the Softcap isnt that High, also, for what it is, i understand those items, that are boosting q and or a Skill it seems like they only req normal, not-so-hard-to-get items, i dont really see how this helps the current gameplay, because my guess is that the bonus will be based on q, so mayor factions, yet again, gain a huge bonus, while the minnor get ass raped.
