Priests

i think that villages should have another authroity figure, a priest, can heal X ammount of Hard hp or soft hp, cure thorn in foot syndrome :) or even add diseases/poisons which can be cured by the priest, will have to pray for x ammount of time to do something, have special priest robes and priest hat and cane. What do you think of this?

I agree that the simpler governmental forms should make no distinction between political and religious authority. I would like it if players could, later on, create their own religions, using something akin to the personal beliefs system.

"Guilds" could function as priesthood (just call it a religion and make the guild ability healing). If there was a "guild main hall" it could serve as a Vatican-analogue of sorts: If the guild leaders could give temporary buffs (like extra healing power, higher brick quality) you would end up with steady pilgrim traffic back and forth there since a leader would likely hang around the guild center.

Custom names, custom ranks for members (I think Travian did this very nicely with alliances), ability to ally other guilds and/or cities would be very helpful in creating cool political structures but I don't know if we could have the actual benefits (i.e. the membership buffs) be largely set by players.

Anyway, Jorb, you tease! Whatever happened to all those sprites you wowed us with pre-reset?

Never said they'd come with the reset. Ha! It's all pending implementation. We have a lot of fun stuff coming.

agreeing with this, and choose kinda a religon like a god of building/hunting/farming etc, would make it very nice, especially with a creepy hermit cult in the forest with a god of torturing
