The new wyrd system opens an opportunity for distinctions between Hearthlings in more than their differences in skill values. Ultimately, given enough LP, any Hearthling could have all the Skills that allow separate abilities, for example: the farmer could also be able to mine. If his Personal Beliefs were allocated to make the farmer excellent at farming, he would not be a good miner, but he could do it. The difference in the use of Wyrd powers through the new Personal Belief of Friendship-Solitude offers a new way to mechanically differ a Hearthling's abilities. The goal is not to make a 'class' system, but a system that provides more in depth Wyrd abilities without allowing an overlap that would cause dysfunction.
If a Hearthling took one of the following Skills, then it could not take another.
Skald (Bard)
The Skald skill would allow a Hearthling to learn tales and songs that inspire his kin by giving small benefits. All these benefits would drain wyrd over time.
Such benefits could be a Song of Might that gives kin in a small area around the Hearthling a bonus to their strength. Another could be Song of Solace, which would calm wild animals and make them docile (not domesticated) and not interested in attacking.
No Hearthling could be effected by two Skald songs at the same time.
Gothi (Druid)
The Gothi skill has wyrd abilities that give minor bonuses to an entire village. All these benefits would drain wyrd over time.
Gothi abilities would be small than the Skalds, but effect the entire village that the Gothi is in. Minute bonuses to LP gain, specific skills like carpentry, or other abilities.
No Hearthling could be effected by two Gothi abilities at the same time.
Barbarian/Huscarl (I have no clue what to call this)
The Barbarian skill gives benefits to the Hearthling that only effect himself and are largely related to combat. All these benefits would drain wyrd over time.
Barbarians would be able to gain a boost to different maneuvers, strength, con, or the UA skill.
No Hearthling could be effected by two Barbarian abilities at the same time.
Ranger (No clue)
The Ranger skill produces benefits that aid the Hearthling in Ranging, Foraging, and Hunting. All these benefits would drain wyrd over time.
Rangers use their abilities somewhat like the Barbarian's, yet they only pertain to what a Ranger would need, like not needing to eat for long ranging expidetions, slower stamina drain, and being better at tracking a Hearthling.
No Hearthling could be effected by two Ranger abilities at the same time.
