Special Containers

Postby Laremere » Fri Sep 25, 2009 1:16 am

The number of random things having to be held in one's inventory is growing quite quickly. I think there should be a special place for things carried around by players frequently that aren't part of work, but more so just always carried around regardless.

My proposition: Special Containers. Expand the equip inventory to allow a new type of containers, which expand the inventory menu to hold specific types of objects. (Forgot to draw a keyring, but oh well, you get the idea)

The types of containers I can think of at the moment are:
Key rings
Water skins
Map cases
Purses

I'm not sure that seed bags should count, just because they don't really fit as something that is carried around.

Make seed bags compete with waterskins.

The different robes should have their own little mini inventories, like 2 or 3 squares, to represent pockets. That'd solve keys pretty easily, and allow for us to carry an apple or two as a snack.

KEYRINGS FTW!!!!

Also, seed sacks, coin bags, and a belt to notch all these specialty containers into logically/realistically.

I have one to add;

SHEATHES!

I mean, swords take up 2y inventory space. You could easily just place that sword in a sheathe while you do decidedly less violent things, like chopping down trees or kicking chickens!

An a holster for the axe. Brilliant, then we need a htokey to change active equiped item.

But seriosuly. I'd be excessively happy with JUST KEYRINGS

KEYRINGS KEYRING KEYRINGS.

They're as way fuckign overdue as boats...if not moreso.

Inventory needs an overhaul

1 - Item weight. No more walking around with 3 ton of metal in your backpack
2 - Specialised Containers that go in inventory. Seed bags (only hold seeds), key rings (only hold keys)
3 - More equipable containers - sack hoisted over the shoulder, belt pouch, smugglers shoe compartment.

Item weight and unlimited inventory space would be much better than the current system.

And a backpack makes weight 3/4 of it's normal.
