Hearth Secrets and World Map

I was just wondering if it was a good idea or helpful suggestion that could there possible be a way to use hearth fires as a beacon to find are characters on the haven map by typing in are hearth secret so we could easily know how far we are from are party or if we are simply lost (The main reason of this suggestion is so users have an easier way to find there friends or get some type of sense of were we are in the world of Haven) apparently those without hearth fires or hearth secrets would not be found,I did do a search on this topic and did not find any results but I am sorry if there is. please post your thoughts on this idea if it would be to complicated, cause to much problems, ruin some sort of spirit of the game or it might actually be a good idea to think about 4 future plans?

Hearthsecrets currently let us see if someone is online and parties already let us see the direction someone is from us. Gauging distance is likely something the devs never intended for us to use either of these for and was meant more for in-game or out of game mapping.

I don't really see a reason for it?

i did not understand your last part of the sentence but i was reffering to out of game mapping and also the reason of it is for those of friends wold be able 2 see how far away they are ( yes I know the arrow points to my partied friend curnetly 2 the north but how far North ? ) so if my friend is liek 3 min away or like just passed the hill sure im gonna go find him but what if he is like 3 days worth of walking away or how ever amount of distenc that is that long. but othere than that i have no reason just so we have a sense of how long will this walk take to reach my friend

My friend and i got seperated when i was shot and hearth fires destroyed i have new char and we have new hearth fires but we having trouble finding eachother other than the arrow pointing n 1 direction

oh and currently the arrow and blue/red Xs thta show you/friend charecter in your party are not working od reason ?

If you're using any of the custom clients, check your client folder for automapping. You can use that instead of a theoretical gauge. If you're using the default client then use cartography or reference the world map.

Party up, right click your buddy's portrait, and follow. That will always take you in the right direction. Arrows lie and don't always work.

thanks also i have no client mods idk of any and was woundering what else could be the reason of the arrow not showing up (called my friend and he dose not have an arrow on either? we trided loging out restarting the game,computer and its been this way for 2-3 days)

Party's are bugged and the vanilla client does nothing to fix this. Ender's client fixes this bug if you want to switch to that.
