grow your own crystal, have the color based on your beliefs and change to red when you commit crimes

Allow two to be tied together with silk thread to make one like darth maul had

Allow three to be put on the end of a b12 axe to make a light saber TRIDENT

This idea is win

But the crystals are only found in caves that were strong with the force for thousands of years!

And we'd probably require some 'Future Mechanics' skill to craft one.

Well, while the idea is pretty neat, I think everyone can agree that its a tiiiiny-itsy-bitsy bit outside of the game's ancient germanic theme, yes?
