Official policy regarding ressurection.

A lot of people die in the name of bug testing. Since the Wayneville incident, some players have been revived as compensation for deaths due to bugs (and murder, and exploits). Why do some characters get saved and others not? Thanks to overwhelming community apathy towards drowning victims, I took my death in stride, posted the bug that caused it, and got over it. Mine may not have been as hands-on a death as an exploit massacre, but it still resulted from the combination of in-game bugs and another players' influence. Can we get a final developer stance on the issue?

There isn't one, really. We judge from case to case on a philosophy of "Was there buggery involved?". The line between bug and sub-optimal implementation is thin and fine, sometimes.

I believe the official policy is, "we do whatever our capracious moods tell us to do"
