Bird Messages!

I was thinking of adding birds that can be tamed by having animal husbandry and rope. Once they are in your inventory, they are tamed. You can have the option of putting written parchment into its talons, and it will send it to a person if you have their HS.
But if it's in its talons, it might not get sent. THat's why you add a metal cylinder that can be attached to the feet, which will make sure the message is sent.
I was thinking different kinds of birds -- Pigeons, Eagles, etc. The stronger bird(Eagle>Pigeon) would send the message faster, and also Q would have something to do with speed also.
The bird can automatically be sent back to you, or stay with the person it was sent to -- Doesn't matter to me.

Besides area chat, the others are somewhat immersion breaking, so it's a decent idea for immersion's sake, though I agree there're other threads which already addressed this.

...you have to admit it does suck to have to carve a runestone when you log off and need to leave someone a message. I guess msn solves that but not everyone uses msn, or has everyone they meet in a game on it.

but bird messaging just sounds weird!
