Logging out carts

Carts should really log out with you when your pulling them. I just lost a cart because I had to log in the middle of normal where and didn't have time to get my cart to my claim.

I have to agree- there must be some way to protect things you own away from home. Carts are the biggest problem, but any time you want to trade, you need to risk not only reasonable problems like bandit attacks and animals, but also people who just wander by while you're logged off.
Surprise.

This would be abused non-stop. It would make Alt-vaults inventory extremely large, theives are already getting shafted already.

Solution is simple, Dont log out when your cart is not on your claim. If you must log out with your cart outside your claim try hiding it behind a tree.

Tree-hiding is a workaround.

I'll admit that altvaulting and such is a problem, and I don't think that having the cart simply disappear is the best way to do this.

Of course, there are plans to make hearthfires and even the point where one has logged off from be targets for pickpocketing, so perhaps one can camp out someplace, which would log you off and lock your cart until someone actually tries to commit a crime with it.

It's one thing to be attacked by a bandit or highwayman who takes your most valuable goods and runs off into the sunset. It's quite another to be stolen from while offline without even a scent to go off of.

This sounds pretty good, but hopefully they implement it so that you can't use it to be a pain and block roads/gates/major intersections by logging out with your alt.
