Pleeeease?

No really though, 3/4ths of the time global is being spammed/trolled etc. and the only thing that we can do about it is wait it out. What if someone decides to get a macro to spam the chat 24/7, or there's a big cat fight on it. No mods, can't ban them from the chat. Make an antispam that at least makes it so we can still talk if someone tries to spam it. This is pretty much the suggestion, I don't think I need to say more.

Don't use global ever. If you feel the need to chat about haven get an IRC client and join the unofficial chat room.

If you chose not to remove it, one solution would be to show kin status, and to allow the ignoring of people.

that would be great, would mean global chat actually serves a purpose. last world I used global chat to ask questions about stuff(I was a hermit and bigger noob then) and it was great for that and normal conversations, until a troll showed up...then no matter what was going on all you could see was troll and people trying to get rid of the troll. global chat could be a great resource for players if there was a way to use it without having to deal with the trolls. also global ignores should be ignores for accounts not just that character so people don't keep making more troll characters to mess around in global after everyone ignores them.
