Great Helm (An unnessecary and generally dumb idea)

Just because my absolute favorite helmet EVER is the classic Crusader Great Helm.

Something like that, although I'd settle for a sugarloaf as well.

Great helms are relatively simple to make, Just a cylinder of metal with eye slits and a few ventilation holes. They were used around the times of the crusades, so High/Late Middle Ages.


This, coupled with a tunic that could be worn over chainmail (I know, the toga), would make for a monumentally epic crusader outfit.

I also envision a more ornamental version that could be made out of silver+gold and would give some good stat boosts.
