Is it possible that UO-style continuous movement could be incorporated into the game? I think this might lessen the rubberbanding problem.

Ultima Online. In that game you could hold down right click to keep moving without stopping. These two games actually share many similarities, which is why I play H&H.

rubberbanding is caused by lag - so i doubt continious would help - and i wouldn't prefer it myself as it would bring more flaws in gameplay than pros...

If you look at how the rubber banding works, you rubber band back if you click again after a lag spike. If you don't click, your character just reaches the end of your path and runs in spot until you actually get there. Continuous movement would just make it look like you were like 15 minimaps ahead of where you actually were.
