Repairable amour

Postby Arcanist » Sun Jul 07, 2013 5:36 pm

I suggest that amour is repairable.

It would be easy, a new crafting recipe

in: steel plate + steel bar
out: steel plate

q = (steel plate x 4 + steel bar) /5
then the anvil formula

the same for each type of amour, with their respective elements changed.

would be really hard to get it under q10 still, but I'm against the idea.

if you're fighting so much that your armor is breaking then you need to have the industry to back it up. if not then whats the point of fighting unless you're just being an ass? if of course you're just being an ass(sure you're probably not but the people this would benefit most are) then I won't support ideas to help you.

to have 0q amour you'd need a 0q anvil, 0q steel, 0q hammer, and then it would hav 0hp so it would likely break instantly.

and if you have all these things, why bother repairing it.

not to be a dick here but

a: you will get killed and your armor will be removed from your corpse before it breaks or
b: you will remove a good amount of armors or steal the materials required to craft another one before it breaks or
c: no need to wear a plate vs a bear.

( or you just get bugged nonstop like me because someone slinged you now you hate your armor because it's not at the max)

none of them actually.

I was just thinking about why amour isn't repairablemy amour is still at full HP, and I've never had amour break while fighting. All of the amour I've looted off peope (apart from their pants) have been at full hp

*almost full* hp, that's why it's not repairable, rather have a bug fixed / neat shit implemeted. the idea, while valid, is just pointless because 0 armors are broken, the ones that really are, are used by someone who can afford it to be broken or just does not care at all about it because they just looted another one.
