row boat we already have that

kanu (fail spell)
speed sprint
travels in shallow water
25 boards
2 blocks of wood
carries 2 people

voyager

1200 boards
200 blocks of wood
50 linen cloth
4 iron
travels in deep water only
speed walk
note carries big load and up to 20 people

5 man row boat
same as row boat but carries 6 cargo slots and 5 men
and travels at sprint
travel in both shallow and deep water
note needs to people to use and degrades stamina
A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.

I don't think any more watercraft are needed unless a new water terrain type is made (like sea), that limits the movement of rowboats. As it is rafts need fixing so they can actually be useful, and the worldgen would need some changing for a wide variety of watercraft to be useful.

+1 for Water Travel Content

This of course is assuming much more work is done beforehand, but playing with the idea behind it all is fun.

- Special structures/equipment to build and use better boats effectively.
- Rivers have a direction, waterways now have "origins" close to mountains that end in lakes or (in the future) a sea.
- Some boats requiring rope and docks or they "float away".
- Boats take decay points from collisions with other boats, dry land, or being in water that is too shallow.
