Make hearthlings able to sit on tree stumps. Have a secondary context action, "Sit", that allows them to do so. Mechanics wise I suppose it would be equivalent to mounting a vehicle. While sitting they are obviously immoble, and their stamina recovery is increased like sitting in a chair. I don't think adding any feasting ability would work though, but having an early option to rest would be helpful, as this aspect has been an overlooked side effect of other gameplay changes.
Additional: Better chairs for better tables.
I know this subject has been discussed before (like the old thread about opulance), but I think it needs more discussion as we still are using those old wooden chairs even on fancy silk feasting tables. It'd be nice, even if it's just an aesthetic difference, to atleast have another option for a fancier looking chair to use. Maybe a low-mid tier materials, like a padded chair made with leather/linen/wool or something along these lines. Silk would be super fancy but I don't think spending silk on something that is only aesthetic would be useful. If it's an aesthetic-only addition there aren't any major issues with mechanics or balance, just have the fancier chairs act like the standard wooden ones (they just look better for people who want variety).
