Wall Building

Postby Massa » Mon Sep 16, 2013 8:54 pm

I know it might seem like a bad idea, but for the legitimate players out in Haven (lol) it'd be quite lovely to have an option to make a wall segment but have it be 3 tiles long, instead of doing each individual one.
And then we'd just put 3 tiles worth (or extra, idk) into the signpost.

Of course, have there be a limit (like 3 tiles)

I love this idea, although why not just allow for a length to be set in one direction from the player and then have the walls materials be however many tiles x segment req.?

That's his idea, except the cap would be 3 tiles.

And popfor changed his idea to remove the 3 tiles limit...

I have mixed feelings about this, it would change the game and make building brick walls much, much easier...

Geez - no BW build bot yet ?!? Guess you'll need to rewrite SuSavages scripts a little...

Pretty sure it's because
1. Brickwalls are not to be messed with. No BWbashers etc.
2. You can't chop trees and get bricks. Chopping trees and getting blocks is something SuSavage's bot relies on.

Oh NOOBY you're sooo smart... but i guess there are 2 points you're missing - the first is prolly one word written too small so i do it again for you: rewrite
the second is: hello sarcasm ... lol

Hence why I answered why it wouldn't be "a little" rewriting.
Anyway, borka, I feel for you. I really do.

a little depends on who's doing it i guess - i must confess it's a bit difficult to read between the lines, but a here's a hint: blueprints

Nearly everything is botable in HnH now as there are guys that gave the tools, made them handy, guys who give scripts (blueprints) ...the next attempt is to get an artificial neural network running with sensors detecting Hearthlings "touching" a predeterminated area ... and start scripts with appropriate action like autoaggro or chatbotting *... ;)

I'm just being sarcastic about having to build 1 segment, 3 segments or more at once when considering above...

* ouch ouch it's already in development NEAT NEAT NEAT

I made my own brickwall build bot a while back, but it's lost somewhere. It was pretty poor as it didn't refill its inventory. It just found the nearest brickwall, clicked extend, put the bricks in, built them, shouted "Bricks for brick god!", moved down, and repeated until out of bricks. Was still a nice click saver.

This would be nice if it was something like holding ctrl when clicking extend. And maybe up to 5.
