About Page needs updating

Am I the only one who noticed that the about page is a bit out of date?

Incidentally, that's the same reason I'm thinking we should not simply rely on forums and pull those other pages down. :) I think it would be nice for new users not to have to navigate around "where all the action is" when trying to find basic information.

That said, there are a couple of things that should disappear from the static pages; such as the how-to list on the about page, and the awfully out-dated How-To. I'll if I can get myself to get around to it. :)
