Pet foxes

Heres how this would work, you would tame a fox the same as a cow or sheep. After doing so it would be tamed. There would be a attack added for the fox, so when your in battle you can command your fox to attack. The fox would have two options: Stay, And follow. The fox would have to be within a 20 tile radius of you to attack. You could heal the fox with gauze, and it wold need fed. You could make a Food bowl for the fox, It could be outside or inside a house. I'm not sure how much damage it should be able to take.. Or what damage it should give.
I just thought this would be amazing.

Literally this exact same idea was just suggested for bear cubs, and I'm not sure which idea is stupider. The day your idea gets implemented, is the day the sun turns into a red dwarf and implodes, killing all life on earth, which is approximately 5 billion years from now, so look forward to that.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I just realy want them to add a companion. Maybe there will be wolfs or something. A pet fox just seemed like it had a good chance since theres already a fox.
how2 win again?

What part of "in 5 billion years time your idea will be considered", don't you get?

I like the idea quite a bit. Though I suppose since the gameplay is geared towards building for survival, as opposed to "personal playing experience" type thing - pets/companions probably aren't a very high priority or even under consideration. (Just a guess of course...but...) :( Besides, frankly, all that would do is give raiders and griefers another thing to use as a means to be obnoxious and annoying imo.

Still, I appreciate the thought behind it - I'm always doing weird crap like catching rabbits, rats and toads and letting them run around my claim until they unload. Sorta like "psuedo" pets I guess. :P LOL!

Find a nab. They make the best pets. ;)

I'm sure I'm displaying my newb-ish-ness by asking (and missing a fantastically clever insult as well...) - but what is a "nab"?

(Sorry for the off topic - but wasn't sure where else to ask?)
