Enhanced Cupboards

Glass-fronted cupboards that allow you to see whether or not the cupboard contains items, in a manner similar to crates, linen crates, and carts. They could be 12x8 in terms of inventory space to equal two large chests.

The building requirements would include the standard 8 boards, with an addition of two wrought iron and four glass.

I like it except for the container size being that much larger; also wrought iron sucky requirement, hard metal bars would be good enough instead. Even if it was the same size it's visual difference and status would be useful and make it worthwhile to make (especially for a cupboard that has high turnaround in what you want it to hold, like consumables).

Maybe have it be needed to use an anvil, and hammer to make 'rods' which would then be able to make several other things.

Like 'Iron bed' which would have metal head and end boards that look pretty, and use silk, and wool to make the bed instead of feathers and linen.
Then there is iron fence/barb wire, which uses one log, and four rods, to make the end piece. Then from there a stick and one rod. ((would that be good I don't know)) This would slightly damage any person who climbs over it. ((Just the soft HP)) Letting for multiple layers of protecting for towns and the like. For the gate, it would need one actual bar, and two logs. They can be of course be destroyed, but if you don't have say... gloves on it would damage your soft HP. Then it damages your gloves to remove it. It doesn't damage rams, but can prevent them from moving. ((where you have to go down and, 'remove obstruction' to the wheels))

To make the glass cupboard you can use them too.

I like that idea but it's really its own subject (refined crafting material objects).
