There is no point to Critique & Ideas till Haven 2

More then likely this part of the forum is quite useless in general till Haven 2 is released. We don't even know what the game will look like to try add content on top of it. Coming up with ideas for the current haven is pointless as they have officially stated they have abandoned any development on it and there next game will likely be completely alien to the current mechanics. Its always fun to speculate and talk about new content but right now its kinda pointless.

Just thinking devs could sticky something on top stating this to new players. Maybe link to the announcements thread as well regarding the development of Haven 2.

Actually now is the best time to post ideas. As they get nearer to making content I am quite sure they will read and see what applicable to the new game system.

This hasn't been the case for years. The way that it has generally works is that threads worth looking at get linked to the devs either through the super secret best friend forums or over irc.

Mechanic suggestions are obviously pointless because none of us are familiar with the mechanics of Hafen/Haven 2/Whatever it ends up being nicknamed. More general idea suggestions, as always, are probably fine and can be cool.

There was no point in it for years and there won't be in future (atleast for a year or two). Pretty much everything good was already suggested. All the fresh threads are either repeats and too obvious ones or some sick suggestions from 3 days newbs (like that guy who suggested boars tamming or the guy with scents mechanic changes). I'm not sure Haven in any version would need any new ideas, there is enough good ones in here and in devs heads to work with for the rest of our lives. But I have nothing against this subforum being active, it's just a good place to share some fantasies and find flaws in others ones, problems start only when it comes to ambitious unexperienced players, who think this part of the forum actually exist because of lack of ideas and their suggestions will be greeted with applause and implemented the next day.
