New Fluid Mechanic!

Warning: No, this post will not contain an analytic general solution to Navier-Stokes - sorry to disappoint the hopeful ones.

Suggestion: IF the player select a vessel containing a fluid, then (left)clicks another, empty container of the same kind, THEN the fluid in the first container will be split equally (or near equally) between the two.

Rationale for this extra interface-clutter:
1. It does not interfer with any other operation the player could possibly currently want to do with the two containers (at least I cannot see any situations where the player e.g would want to contain the fluid in a different quality container).
2. Specific situation where this would come in handy:
Player is making rennet small-scale, say he wants to make 4 units, and wants to use of his limited stock of high q water. However, using a whole bucket would be a waste, as half of it would boil away unused. With this mechanic in place, he can quite easily subdivide the water into any amount of empty buckets in his rennet-cupboard.

well you could just use a flask to fill the small amount of water... the only problems i see with fluids are that i can't take a bucket of vinegar or beer, and i can't fill a barrel with milk.

Yes, I obviously could get rid of my problem by having a spare waterskin in every place I tend to run into this small problem (I have a few cauldrons spread out in different locations), however, yet another layer of tool discipline would be necessary then, so I came up with this (probably) simple mechanic as an alternative. I guess there are other interface difficulties people would rather see JnL concentrate on.

You want the ability to partially decant fluids. I think you should be able to do that when loftar gets around to fixing up fluid implementations.

Last thread I read with him speaking on the matter was that currently the behavior is attached to the container, where one could argue it should be attached to the fluid.

I'd be more interested in the ability to mix liquids than partial decanting.

Also, a really really minor quibble, don't change left click to be interaction, currently left click means move yourself, pick up an object or put down an object. It'd be weird and annoying to have such an edge case exception to that rule. A right click flower menu would be a better option
