Sand and Fishbones.

Fish should yield bones. Perhaps a new item called fish bones, which equals 1/2 normal bones, but that may be over-complicating things a bit

Digging for clay in shallow water should have a chance of yielding sand. I mean, all sand is is finely ground soil and rocks, so any area with sufficient water (Rivers or lakes) should have at least a little sand in it.

That is all.

Nearest beach to me is quite a ways away.

Also, frequency for sand would be something like One sand to every 15 clay on average, in my mind. Or not, I don't know. Seems like sand would be MORE common than clay, but I've never been to Europe so I have no clue if the lakes are any different.

Localised resources are intentional.

You're right that they picked an odd one to do it with (sand, wtf)

I suspect that what they call sand in game is very specifically only the kind of sand you can turn into glass, and not just any old type of sand. That could be the reason for the relative scarcity.

That being said, would anyone care to trade with me for a massive shipment of any ql. sand?

I'm about to begin wine production, if you're wondering. I can pay in ql. 31 clay, low quality produce in small amount (<10 quantity), or low quality fish.

I'm quite aware that clay and fish are easily obtainable to those with access to sand, it's just that I have almost nothing else worth trading. Perhaps I could take it on credit and pay you back with a full barrel of wine? As with the products listed before, it will be fairly low quality, and it'll be a while before it's made (I'm still growing the grapes).

edit: Or raw glass itself.

Most of what I catch is salmon. A few other fish every now and then, but not enough to be mentionable.

And hopefully, by next harvest, my fish will be above q10. I'm using a q6 line right now, so my fish is around q8-9 when I actually catch them. I may experiment with lures, but I doubt I'll find any significant amounts of anything but damned salmon and pike.
