First off I'm a fresh start on the server, I'm about 1 year and 5 months late to this party and I cannot believe I didn't find this gem sooner. I've had tons of fun so far and I'll continue playing it for now on or until something better comes along. Although with the hopefully future updates I'll never have to leave.
Critiques:
I'm new to the game but first impressions, hell the first hour is the most impressionable and for most of the gamer community that first hour decides whether or not they'll continue playing the game.
EARLY GAME
Okay so the early game is a good start. You begin with a torch, a funky hat, some wood shoes, and clothes on your back. Cool. Now I break some branches and chip some stone. I like it, hell I fucking love it. The numbers that appeared above my head confused me at first but I quickly found out that they're learning points used for the SKILLS/ATTRIBUTE in the character sheet. Which is a pretty good system aside from the fact that at the beginning its hard to get the ball rolling. Once you eventually get everything discovered you end up being dry in LP so you wander out, lost completely until you find *gasp* a emerald dragonfly, dandelion, or if you went into the exploration skill once or twice and got enough string you can make a horrible knot. Although with the game being a sandbox and not wanting to read the Wikipedia I gimped the fuck outta my first character and started anew. So after I got more information I dived back in and unlocked tons of skills and I have 5 in exploration and unarmed currently. I started to build tons of things but I had TONS of trouble finding things like clay and even animals. These seem like the rarest fucking things in the game. I mean IRL I can go down to a creek and find many deposits of clay and collect them easily enough but holy shit the rarity.
Animals are another thing I've had trouble finding in the game. Besides never seeing another player in the world I rarely see animals too. It makes you feel so alone in the world except when you walk into a swamp and see about 100 frogs and tons of dragonflies. The lack of PVE in this game has made some of my friends quit after 2 days. Disgruntled me a fuck ton seeing as hes a bit technically impaired and it took him awhile to get the game running just to see him uninstall it. I want to see wolves
, foxes that aren't completely OP, I love the bears but boars shouldn't be too OPAnd wolves like the ones from Spice & Wolf if they kill a player they could become a powerful entity
, turkeys that attack in hordes, and maybe some low level mobs like goblins that could have a huge fortress and raid villages based on idols but provide some goblin sausages and armor if you kill them. That would help the PVE element besides the intense crafting system which isalthough a boar did fatally wound Robert Baratheon

The PVP element I can't really comment on because I don't have 500 STR/UA/B12 but from what I've read and heard it lacks variety. Its mostly axe vikings with bear cloaks. I have a boner for range combat, only reason I currently have 5UA and plan to get 10UA is for ant hills. After that I'm going to raise it to the heavens and I don't care about its viability. I just love archery, hunting, and marksmanship. I also find the lack of weapon variety/viability for melee annoying. Polearms, Daggers, Swords, and pretty much anything that's not an axe seems to not be made for endgame. Correct me if I'm wrong I'm a good listener. I enjoy the combat system a lot though. Very interesting and a good work around for the lag which is my next question...
Please add a subscription to your donations or please ask for donations. I want to play but I also want to help you make this game more grand. I've spent tons of money on donations through kickstarter and other games but I have a good feeling about this game and another called Trials of Ascension. If you can give (me) or us a road map of development for H&H 2.0 and money needed, it would make me want to donate more. I'm competitive in the way I spend my money. I always want to be on top yet on the TOA forums I can't compete with those who donate $2k a month. But I can throw down $15-$50 for the hell of it. I just wanna know where that money goes... You know... Not pizza palace vacation!
The last thing is in H&H 2.0 keep the combat system currently, make other weapons and styles viable, make more PVE options besides trolls, bears, and foxes, extend the perfect crafting system even further, and just ask for donations! I love what you guys are doing so keep it up.
