Ideas about animal domestication

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty excited for this update. I thought I'd take a moment to suggest something which I would really like to see.

Herding. When it comes down to it, this behavior is extremely important for farmers who raise sheep and cows IRL. Herding would occur if a player nearby (or possibly another animal) moved while jogging or running. This would cause the animal to run a very short distance in the opposite direction. This might also be done by right-clicking the animal, similar to the way rabbits run when right clicked. The difference would be that cows/sheep could not fit in an inventory.

I think herding should be crucial to animal Q (with the exception of chickens). What I mean by this, is that if a cow or sheep were periodically moved to a different area their quality would have a chance to rise, limited by the player's farming skill.

Herding might add some pretty fun aspects to domestic animals. If you don't keep your cattle in a pen, a couple raiders might come along and take them away! If you want to herd your sheep between pens by yourself, you'll need to build a fenced corridor to channel them.

I don't know what J&L have planned, but I expect it will be well thought out. I hope that they will at least consider what I have written.

Sorry for the long post.

Sounds cool.

And stampedes. If a player is in front of a running Cow or Auroch or whatever, they should get a major/minor HHP deduction.
