Climate Changes?

I'm pretty new to this game so far been loving it!
Having a climate system would be interesting as well as a season system maybe inspecting cloud patterns and such.
Winter could affect the character if they lack proper clothing or make farming difficult maybe snow storms having players plow their affected areas.
day and night can also affect the different appearance of animals and such.
but yea it'd be cool to see something like that or maybe just frustrating to some but I love me some challenge!

Well its not as easy as just adding weather. You have to add food sources for each season, clothing to survive it, introduce heating options, making sure new players dont start in a winter area.... Weather would be nice but its a lot of work that goes with it.

I think that there should be adverse effects to excess CO2 emission. aka when a village gets full on steel production going all the nearby stumps die.

Plants and trees would gruadually drop quality, and when they hit 0 they will die resulting plant/tree thats totally useless and you need to use lots of time to remove it.

I know it'd be tough to actually implement it on the game but it'd a neat add if possible
