Still worth playing H&H 1?

Postby Cryojager » Sat May 30, 2015 5:40 pm

As far as I know (and tell me if I'm wrong), Haven and Hearth is getting a second installment that serves as a major update and skin change. From what I've heard, characters and data from the first will not carry over, and since the new game is hopefully coming out in just a few months, is it still worth it to play Haven 1?

But if I know for certain that the new game is coming out soon and the progress from Haven One won't carry over, making any more progress would be for nothing, right?

Well, do you enjoy playing haven?
If you do, you should play it even if its only 3 months.

It's useful to play some HnH1 so that when Hafen is released your mechanics aren't rusty as hell

I can't agree more. Started playing a bit lately and noticed I forgot a lot of basic stuff (especially combat-wise).
Hope you have a great day

dunno if this will come through but can i ask a few question pertaining H&H 2? this questions are will it be free like H&H 1? what should we expect from the new one? where do i look for it on august 15? just those question because im really itchin to go back on H&H gaming after i stopped when i got bored after becoming capable on my own. killing bear over and over is kind of boring after ive learned how to become an efficient hunter. i was also hoping that H&H 2 have better combat mechanics. the Haven 1 mechanics was a bit of a modified dungeons and dragons if you know what i mean.

It worth playing now cause this game and next world are completly different.
I dont speak about the gameplay changes, but the world.
At the begining of new world, it will be a competitive rush, fighting everywere to be ahead, finding best spots in an virgin world, ...
The game as it is now is very different.
Its like playing Fallout, you spawn in an almost empty world full of ancien life.
You go and search for abandoned village, eating abandoned crops, searching for good tools, trees, etc... its like exploring dungeons.
And the people here are nice. Those who looks for competition just wait for H&H2, so you only find chill dudes and cute noobys.
Active population is about 3-4 people / river system, so you get to know your neighbours.
Nice bear team hunt and barbecues.
And when you are bored, just go to another river system.
