Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Spawn in hnh2

The idea is that all players will spawn in center of the world - ring of brodgar.
Then they must travel the world and finding place for live.
Character names used on new hearthlings, who was killed in 1~3 hours after creation gets wiped and dont leave an ancestor, and same name be used again.
In some area near RoB there are no walls can be built (no villages who can controll world spawning)

But people can and will just hang around the spawn with their main characters to kill newspawns. Nah, I prefer randomly spawning anywhere in the world.

That would be VERY new player unfriendly. Starting to play new game might not be so exciting if you have to walk like 3 hours before you can even really start playing it :?

Random spawning will be able only for solo players, J&L wants to make random spawn for all even with hearth secrets. This will make a chance for players who starts with team. They will searching a place together.

Game never was friendly for newbies. Btw newbies dont cares where to live. They always live in place where them spawned. Now they will travel 5~10 mins from RoB and live at random place\ruins as newbies always do.

Even with Random Spawn, you'll still have the Major factions setting up in the cardinal points (Eg; The grids where the edges of the maps meet,) or central locations. Those are the easiest for people to find, and generally well worth the travel. Not having to worry about attackers coming from two cardinal directions is a large advantage, as well as being able to have people easily navigate to you (Go X until you can't go any more, then go Y until you can't go anymore. Hey, you're here!)

I was thinking the exact same thing, although Round probably wouldn't be the best, perhaps an elipse of some kind? Almost a Rectangle, that starts to thin out on the edges, and then you can cycle around to the bottom SG. That would allow for all kinds of fantastic tactics, especially pincer attacks of various forms and sizes. I'd like to see Party combat get reworked, and leaders given more ability, perhaps to assign coins and buffs to other fighters through a tactical menu, but that's neither here nor there.

I think that it would be the most beneficial for trading, because hubs would easily be able to trade from one side of the world to the other. Then, when you've got your goods, ship it off to a mass market via roads in the center of the world.

The only downside however, is that it would prevent loftar's ability to expand the world.
