Out here in California, we just got a record snowfall. It was just 10", but it's stopped everything.
Reflections on snow as a gameplay element:
-Slows movement
-Leaves trails which can be followed
-Those can be mitigated by wearing snowshoes
-The cold makes all actions take more stamina unless there's a fire nearby
-Liquids in containers outside will probably freeze
-Trees get wieghted down and may drop branches, particularly when disturbed by people walking by
-Carts go very slowly, buy may make paths that can be followed easily.
I know this has in various ways been suggested before, but I think it needs to be said again. Snow snow snow snow snow snow snow.
