I'm thinking every time you craft or eat an item.

Yeah, then you could buy captchas off. like 1€ = 100 captchas bypass.

Also there would be certain amount of time to solve captcha. So they would change every now and then for example.

Why stupid captcha, just pop some questions about math, history, geography, making an educating game for game addict kids.
"Mom, I dont play I work !"
Serious, captcha are major turn off, would never play a game like more than 30 mnt.

The idea would completely eliminate trading, and also jorb and loftar have already said that there's no way in hell they're adding captchas

Captchas aren't elegant. A better, more immersive solution is minigames, which botwise yields the same result. If farming, eating etc were done through minigames I'm sure botting would be harder.

Playing a mini-game just to eat food o.o? Farming would be understandable, but the mini-game concept (or how I'm imagining it) just doesn't sit right with Haven, at least IMO :/

As for the actual topic, I don't think alt abuse will be much of an issue with Hafen anyways, given the fact that we no longer have hearth-spawns. Whether party-arrows are a thing or not, it's not like that will matter, since it will be required for you to actually meet up with someone before partying, right? (Pretty sure it's been mentioned that they won't be present, at least not initially.)

Of course, that would make grouping up with friends rely pretty much on comparing world maps and such, so I'm wondering if Jorbtar have some other mechanic in mind that they're not telling us about... >.>

Actually, it seems like this idea could improve trade by creating viable niche markets at every quality level; greater range of useful products = room for more merchants?

Instead of totally excluding use of high-q items by low-skill chars, perhaps you could just hard- or soft-cap the FEP's against farming/cooking/survival? That way the food isn't useless to low-lvl chars, just inefficient. And you couldn't be q'ed out of a feast and starve to death at the banquet table.
