Help control the pet population

Postby Frelock » Thu Dec 31, 2009 7:18 pm

Seems like it would make livestock breeding a whole lot easier if it were possible to spay or neuter cows/sheep which have bad genetic material to keep them from breeding. It would make management of livestock breeding much easier, rather than requireing two separate pens for cows and bulls, and keeping a very close eye on which cow breeds with which bull (which probably means a separate breeding pen as well, and individual breeding sessions). This would especially come into play when players have large heards which are difficult to keep fed, much less making sure only the proper breeding occurs.

Obviously nothing critical, but might not be a bad idea.

I support this idea but only if "gelding" is using somewhere in there. It's a fun word.

Dead bulls can't be used for oxen though.

Cycle your livestock, this is how its done these days, kill the worst keep the best. When animal Transport is brought it, hire out your stud bulls to someone for some profit...

Alright this is how it is done.

First get your food for the animals planted and growing then get grass planted incase of you not allowed on or w/e.

Get your starter cow(s) and one bull you only ever need one bull if you birth a baby bull and its better when it grows take the old bull out back.

Now if your aiming for cheese butter or milk have the starter cows birth the babie and once the babies grow old enough to be impregnated move the mother cows to a diffrent pen smaller with a seprate food trough.

Always put your bull in a seprate pen after each rape session.

Once the second generation of the cows have their babies and they grow old you can either keep the starter cows or kill them for the meat o make food. just repeat this and youll have a good amount of higher (hopefull) ql cows but its all about time. But building a small pen for a bull isnt hard

All you have to do to perfectly maximize Q growth among the herd (sheep or cows) is to slaughter all but one male animal.

If you value Q growth more than animal growth slaugther the inferior males even if the superior male is a calf. Otherwise wait until you have a superior bull.

Much easier than all this separate pen nonsense.
