Aurochs/Mouflon gender should be viewable!

Postby Kasakun » Tue Jan 05, 2010 5:20 pm

Just the other day I actually managed to tame wild animals - first two mouflons, and then later some aurochs.

However, they were ALL male. Five bulls and two rams - what are the chances for that? Considering the hefty time and effort put into taming an animal, I don't think it's fair to be left to utter chance as to wether it's a female or a male animal. Besides, the gender difference seem odd - everyone I know who tames animals seem to have a really hard time getting females at all. Is it intended for females to be much more uncommon than males?

Maybe it would be good if you could check the gender of an anmil after the first taming is done. This would mean that you still have to put some effort in it but not as much as if you would have to fully tame the animal.

It probably wasn't, but why would you be rolling on a laughing floor? More importantly, why is the floor laughing? :?

incase you're a total idiot and don't get that rolf = rolling on laughing floor as rofl = rolling on floor laughing....

What does a guy named Rolf have to do with my ability to spell?

It's an ancient Asian security measure. The "Laughing Floor" was constructed of wooden pieces that would rub together if you walked on it and so warn the owner that there was an intruder.

However this game is Scandinavian/Northern European so I didn't think signing my post "Wah Ling" would be in the right spirit. I figured the name Rolf (or Hrolf for those of you who prefer the older spelling) would not perplex anyone.

I assume that the situation you find yourself in is a sausage fest, in both senses of the term?

This thread weaves puns like a loom weaves linen.

EDIT: Also, I think the name of the floor was "nightingale floor", from the whistling sound it produced, but that wouldn't be nearly as funny.

EDIT B: Also, sausagefest averted. We found ourselves a cow.

Still only got rams, however, so while we're already on the topic of painful puns:
