i think it's more serious, so i've started a new thread...
http://havenandhearth.wikia.com/wiki/Gauze
http://havenandhearth.wikia.com/wiki/Leech
there are not many ways to heal yourself...
* for gauze you need wool, so you have to tame a sheep first - no task for noobs!
and forget trading for just a few pieces of wool/gauze because of needed time and travel weariness...
* leeches are not easy to use and maybe not easy to get - all in all not easy to understand for noobs!
furthermore leeches reduce your SHP, that's not noobfriendly too! - they die like flies because of starving...
this "smoking hemp" idea is not so bad, why not to implement a further possibility to heal yourself with hemp?
(and to trade dope

>> smoke dried hemp seeds to heal your HHP! use a pipe [Block of Wood x1]
>> drink hemp tea to heal your HHP! that works like normal tea for recovering stamina
>> give green tea and black tea a different advantage: green tea for stamina and black tea for SHP!
1. needed skill is "First Aid"
2. dry hemp seeds with a herbalist table (easy to get) and smoke it in a pipe
3. usa a cauldron/clay cauldron to make hemp tea from dried hemp seeds
3. use a quern to mill dried hemp seeds to hemp flour, snuff it like Boar Tusk Snuff
tl;dr
after all i have three ideas:
1. heal your HHP by smoking dried hemp seeds in a pipe [pipe had to be equipped like gauze/torch/fishing pole in order to use]
>> maybe beside a new status effect that makes you tired and super friendly, so you are not able to fight (calumet pipe???) because of your super happiness...
2. recover your SHP by snuffing hemp flour (works like Boar Tusk Snuff)
>> maybe beside a new status effect that recovers your SHP during this period of time, so it is helpful for hunting...
and finally
3. heal your HHP by drinking hemp tea and additionally recover your SHP by drinking black tea & drink green tea for recovering stamina
>> remember, there was a time you could recover your SHP by drinking wine!
and if you think now "fuck, drugs are so dangerous" change hemp with some new healthy plant or herb!
