brick walls take wrought and steel and are currently pieces of fucking shit. If warfare and combat are revamped we want far more thought and effort put into them. The real issue here is that you can't reach anyone to trade with for tin so address THAT issue via a lacking game mechanic. But make sure it's nubbish rubbish which means get a bit more experience via a comprehensive perspective on the game rather your little nubbish corner of a mountain.

It is not as hard as steel but it's still flexible and tough unlike bricks. You can shatter bricks but imagine doing that to a large bar of copper
Also, bronze goes way over iron in every way.
