Seriously, I know that you two don't want to do it yourself (talking to Jorb and Lofter here), but someone would happily take that position if it means we get less shit that fills the place. I mean there is 2 threads now with one guy just going on and on and on about how much everyone else are assholes and other things of the such. Not mentioning any names...

Adding someone with the ability to just lock a thread or even the ability to 'silence' a poster/post would be great...

nah...those thread provide comic relief. Trust...we NEED that comic relief. This is a game of high investment permadeath...every now and then we need a raeging nub who loses a cheap metal tool, a char with 20-30 stats, a dozen silk eggs, or some other nub shit.

I wouldn't exactly say kaka is a moderator, though. He may have been put in that class of forum users, but I do doubt that he's using those powers, and I wouldn't exactly expect him to either. :)

I shan't deny that, In my darkest moments, I have considered actually asking someone to moderate the forums*, but, well, I just dislike censorship in whatever form it comes. Even if it's just for the sake of making the relevant discussions smoother. Sometimes the most raeging threads do, indeed, provide comic relief, sometimes the tangents that are veered into are interesting, and most of the time, I think the forum noise is doing a generally good job at accustomizing people to the Interwebs. ;)

you know, a moderator here wouldn't really be for censorship. what would be nice is for a moderator to rename thread titles, move threads when they are in the wrong forum, merge threads when they are restating an existing topic, and organizational stuff like that.
