Drinking everywhere

Please make drinking always work - like, drink straight from a river or out of a bucket.
Kinda odd to live next to a river, not having the tools to drink from it, especially for newbies -.-

oh, and i think it should be possible to eat rats and frogs. Srysly.
Do they have any actual function ingame?

Rats and frogs can be used to maintain initiative in combat once you have fighting skills. Otherwise they are decorative. But there are a lot of people who agree with you that it would be cool if they had some use.

And I agree with you that it is kinda funny that you can't drink from a bucket or from cupped hands. But I think the kuksa and the leather water vessels are meant to represent carrying a substantial amount of water with you. After all, it's not like you can die of thirst. It is only a quicker way of regenerating stamina.

Drinking water came in at the same time as the brand new map. I suspect the dev's assumed that everyone would have ready access to a birch tree to build a kuksa at that time, despite the fact that things have changed around RoB a wee bit.

Hm.. what do you guys actually think about making water nececcary to survive?
Water is more important than food, after all - but it seems that it's currently not really required in H&H.
Might be interesting. You'd have to travel along rivers or find save routes with enough water supplies.
Later, you could just take enough water with you before you leave or use abilities to get water while traveling.

btw: rain would also be awesome, but that's kinda off-topic now ^^
