Karma Idea, A counterbalance

So learning bonuses, fun stuff yea?

Learn three times fast and have no skills if you die, or learn half as fast and keep them all.

How about karma counterbalance this? Instead of only 50%, at highest possible karma a player has at lowest 80% learning rate, fully steeped in tradition?

The more evil you are the less you learn, so a 300% learning rate would be knocked down only slightly, but enough to make you sad in the pants.

The karma/wyrd system does have some interesting possibilities, but I'm not really all that sure about it now because it's very difficult/impossible to judge which actions should be considered negative.

Evil geniuses tend to be very stubborn.
