Because Fachwerkhauser!
It fits the theme enough, and it'd be a good addition to our set of buildings.

Those houses look pretty cool.
I think I agree with this one.

Would probably cost a lot more resources than the other two house types.

hm. i grew up in a town with many of this houses, built in the middle-age. the definetly did not use metal or stones! (just wood for endurance and a mixture out of soil+straw!)



ps:
i looked the word up - pons says "half-timbered house"
didn't know the word fachwerhaus is used in englishspeaking countries :)

Wattle and daub is the most common term in English for a house like this, I believe.

Are you German?

And, I think, this house could find some place between log cabin and mansion. Although it may not fit in the time frame...
