New Map Changes

New players should start off with different items!

I think the food given to new players (which will be all of us soon) should be a food that doesn't give LP, and like bread, is very filling.
The clothes given out should maybe have a bit more use, seeing as the linen pants/shirts do/give nothing, not even any armor.
I'm fine with the torches.
The fishing rod should be fully equiped with a special newbie line/hook/bait that has a lesser chance of being lost, but also a lesser chance of catching things.
I'm thinking of a silly name for the line/hook such as Loftar's Line, Kaka's Krok, etc.
Lastly, there should be a system message that goes like this:
"Is this your first time playing?"
If you answer yes, it will take you through a tutorial that describes what you should, but don't have to do, in that room.
If you answer no, you will be left to your devices to grab your supplies and leave.

I second that.
Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but their own vision.

Loftar's Life Line.

And, yep, everything in this post is good.

Loftar's Life Line & Kaka's Krok == awesome;

I think we all agree that more things should be named after me.
I've had a farm named after me, a forest, two towns, a mountain and a whole f*****g province, but I'm missing a lake, and possibly a river.
I could definitely use an item named after me as well.

When it comes to tutorials, I really liked the system they used in WoW.
I won't bother explaining it, though. I'm lazy.

I used the right word, correct?

Indeed, you did. It honestly took me a minute or two before I realised you actually meant the Swedish word, though.

You know, with the wallpaper, and the naming, you'd think I was sucking up or something.

The thought did cross my mind.

Just remove FEP from bread. Not like there aren't enough Con items.

I agree whole-heartedly with everything suggested, and I think minck1 has an excellent refinement to that idea.
The tutorial is often a late addition to games, but in this case, I think that adding a very simple system would help immensely.
Surprise.
