Heirs

An interesting thought came to me.
On the claim management (Oh god...UI work for Loftar), you should be able to appoint an heir, if and when you die.
Specifically, one character gets the land. I think, you should be able to give it to other accounts characters as well.
Or leave the heir slot open to be claimed with the ancestor stone.
There should be an advantage to claiming your ancestors land over it being given to someone.
A Right of Honor to protect the land, or something along those lines.
Maybe scents could last slightly longer, due to your 'diligence' to keep everything safe.

Also, spirits that control land that doesn't get claimed please.

What if the Heir already has a claim?
Surprise.

Good question, and it is something I thought of myself.
I'm sure something, such as a message saying that you've been requested to become an heir to such and such's land would be appropriate.
As for the ancestor situation, that could be used as a safe way to make sure your land is transfered to a character in your control.
If no one takes the land, within such a time, a spirit should rise amongst the abandoned land to be cleared away.
If a character is made when the ancestors spirit occupies the land, the spirit is cleared away, knowing the land is in capable hands and goes to rest.

Sound good?

What do you mean, spirit? As in a creature that attacks players?

I get the feeling that a more direct way to move LP would be to simply implement a training mechanic.
Surprise.
