Once meals with interesting details become useful, then we'll have something to garnish.
Food should be about replenishing hunger, gaining buffs and maybe even for rp.
Or they could replace the universal fep bar and give each stat its own fep bar. So if you eat str food it adds points to your str bar. If you then eat some int food it add is to a different int bar. If you want to raise str exclusively then nothign is stopping you from only eating str food, but you also get the chance to fill up on whatever you have available when you are hungry without ruining your str fep progression.
Instead of getting black fep foods that would give black fep should instead lower the ammount of points you have in all stats by however much black fep you would get. So lets say you eat something that gives you 4 black fep and your str bar has 0 progress into the next skillpoint, it would cause your str to be reduced by 1 level with a full bar -4. So you would need to eat another +4 fep str food to get back.
