With new weather system we really need it. We learn first aid just for ability to make bandage huh. We want warm coats, wool socks and blankets. There is another usage of houses as shelters, not just warehouses. Stay night under rain without shelter and catch a cough or even a flu. Been kicked by wild animal then be ill with a tetanus. And others, thousands it! And each can decrease your abilities or even stats! So we need castor oil, mustard plaster and other yummie thingies. And alchemistry or pharmaceutics probably.

disease would be cool, but think about the poor newbs with the amazing power of nothingness. think of how many will die before they even realize how to eat a loaf of bread! think of the newbs!

still like the idea though, but we need a way for newbs to live, like, maybe this: 1 branch and 1 stone=mortar and pestle. then, a new foragable item (or an old one), grind it up in the m&p to make a salve, then apply the salve to cure disease. this could be labeled as Alchemy, make Foraging, and maybe Plantl Lore a requirement for it. But you can make all sorts of salves from the start, then, after farming, more stuff, and after glass-making, some kind of potions (liquid medicine was usaully witch-craft for a long time, anyway) the potions may be pushing it, but i like the salves. it can be used to heal yourself and cure diseases, and of course, you can move Boar Tusk Snuff under it, as well as many, many possibilites for this.

Alchemy - is much more than simply the creation of medical powders, but I really like the idea. Search medical roots in the forest, cultivation of herbs in the garden, mixing them and getting various powders and "potions", which heal hhp and restore stats. If the issue will be a success, I will try to help with the preparation of recipes or add some ideas

yes, i would love alchemy, and it was very revelant to the time period...much more revelant than Ents... :D
i would definitly help out with it, and i think being able to plant herbs and other foraging objects would be cool! let ppl have access to these important things whenever, instead of hunting and hunting. (not all of them, of course, like Rustroot would't be plantable, maybe not taproot, but blueberries and inkweed and chants should be)

Relevant? It is hard to argue about relevancy, but it would certainly would not be an anachronism.

On the whole, I support diseases....actually, I thought they were going to come shortly after we got buffs/debuffs. But perhaps I misremember.

Chak: Alchemy is relevant to every time period in the known history of the universe. It is even used today, how else do we get medicine? It is technology advanced alchemy, nothing else. Don't ever tell me alchemy is isn't relevant!

Epidemy! That will be even cooler. The whole towns and villages grasped by epidemy. Burning fires, burning bodies and buildings. Chains of crying villagers walking away from doomed place.

Well. Newbies have their amazing power of baby blue eyes. Lets they have some immune to all diseases.
UPD:
Absolutely forgot it. Idea of diseases comes from neighbor thread about lemon and honey. We have honey already. It is nice cure from large amount of diseases. We have even onion, which can be used as bactericidal cure. And lemon, if we have one, can use as basic immunostimulator.
