Gauze from cloth

Why i can gauze from linen\silk cloth ? Why i can healing myself only by leeches and bandages made from wool ? It's not like reality. Even in other games we can make bandages from of various materials. This will bring a little variability to the game. Find the wool harder than linen\silk clothes.

Especially now that wool is a precious material. Agreed.
Surprise.

I think one day the devs will get around to this.... It does make inuitive sense and enough people have brought it to their attention that we have the weight of numbers on our side too. But for now, unfortunately for the maimed and wounded, we must wait. They are busy with preparing for the Big Map And Character Reset next Saturday, if not with their law school midterms.

In the meantime I have 120 hit points to heal, so I plan to spend a lengthy gaming session standing in a leech marsh and idly fishing in the nearby river as the leeches bloat. Mmmm.... burnt fish, scorched over a campfire!

If you could make gauze from linen, nobody will bother using wool for it. Thus, no one will bother to tame sheep. Also if gauze was that easy to make nobody would bother with leeches either.

Also if healing was that easy (make linen and all's well), recovering HHP would be such a non-issue that people would rather lose HHP than armor hit points.

The absorptive properties of wool can not be duplicated by linen alone. Gauzes should require a combination of linen/silk and wool.

Additionally there should be a requirement for splints, amputations, cauterizations, lancing of boils and removal of necrotic flesh.

Gauzes not regularly re-dressed should grow infected and gangrenous, diseases should cause major inconvenience on a regular basis.

People don't wear a single gauze long enough for the need to re-dress, though.
Maybe if gauze was more than just a 1/3 healer. But, I don't see that going into play with the way the system is now :<
Cool idea though :P
